Family Planning Training and Technical Assistance

Center for Health Training has provided family planning and reproductive health training and technical assistance (TA) throughout the west coast and southern United States for more than 30 years. As the Title X Family Planning Training grantee in each of three public health service regions, we have assisted professionals from Hawaii, Guam and the Pacific Basin to Louisiana, from Alaska to Texas. Our offices are located in Austin, Texas; Oakland, California; and Seattle, Washington.

We provide hundreds of training events each year, including small workshops, large clinical conferences, residential institutes, retreats, video/audio conferences, webinars and other electronic media events. Our training, as well as our TA services, provides the latest information and skill training in the field to clinicians, administrators, supervisors, managers, educators, counselors, fiscal staff and others, helping them maintain licensure and improve services to underserved populations.

We provide expert training on:

• comprehensive sexuality education (including science-based approaches)

• family planning counseling
• HIV and STIs
• reproductive health issues
• sexuality
• and many other topics.
