Learning Objectives
At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Review three factors that increase the risk of method failure and their impact on advice given to clients regarding a late start or missed days of OC, POPs, DMPA and implants.
- List three conditions previously considered to be contraindications to intrauterine contraceptives, but no longer categorized as such.
- List two advantages and two disadvantages for the use of the Implanon contraceptive implant.
- List the contraceptive methods that are considered first or second line for women who were gestational diabetics while pregnant.
