About This Audio Conference

This audio conference will identify approaches to serving male clients in a family planning clinic setting that influence their sexual and reproductive health care. Participants will learn how to more effectively address males' sexual and reproductive health concerns as well as communication strategies to counsel males.

About the Speakers

Linda Creegan RN, MS, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner who received her Master of Science in Nursing and her FNP in 1983 from Pace University in Westchester, NY. She has over 25 years of clinical and teaching experience in the fields of STD management, family planning, and HIV prevention.

Hector Campos is the lead trainer at the Center for Health Training for the national Male Family Planning Research Project. He has over 25 years experience in the public health field designing and delivering health training curricula, and providing technical assistance, training and support to various human service providers in public, private, and clinical settings.

As a result of this audio conference, listeners will be able to:

  • Describe how to counsel men to participate in contraceptive decision-making and share prevention of pregnancy/STDs
  • Describe how to conduct a sexual history of male family planning clients.
